Curcumin and Breast Cancer?Discover the Real Truth

This legendary ingredient from turmeric has long been used in India for its medicinal qualities, but now scientists believe that curcumin and breast cancer prevention goes hand in hand.

Recent research at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston suggests that curcumin, an active component in turmeric, may help prevent the spread of breast cancer.

Curcumin has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to fight the free radicals which damage our healthy cells and cause disease and premature aging.

One scientist has described it as “one of the most perfect designer substances for fighting cancer.” It has been shown in studies to induce the cancerous cells to literally kill themselves while at the same time leaving the healthy cells alone, which is why curcumin and breast cancer prevention appears to have such a strong link.

Think of how invasive chemotherapy kills the healthy cells too, while severely weakening the immune system, while curcumin will actually boost the immune system as it fights the breast cancer.

Another important property that was found with curcumin in tests on mice was that with breast cancer, it stopped the disease spreading to the lungs, vital if the survival rates are to be improved. Human studies are now being conducted to follow up on this.

Quite an impressive performance for a natural nutrient, and it can also promote heart health, help with Alzheimer’s and lower the bad cholesterol levels. So curcumin and breast cancer is far from its only life saving quality.

We can benefit now from curcumin by taking it as part of a high quality nutritional supplement as it is not easily absorbed by the body naturally, and we stand to gain many everyday benefits like a sharper mind, clearer thinking and  also the prevention of many of the more serious diseases in the future.

Look for a 98% pure curcumin extract combined with other nutrients including piperine from black pepper to boost the absorption rate, as any less and you will be missing out on some of the benefits.

Curcumin and breast cancer prevention is just the beginning as we have much to expect in the future from this amazing ingredient.

Are injections not to menstruate effective for breast cancer, at the age of 50?

It’s called hormone blockage, and IT IS a standard treatment for cancer. Three official studies have shown it is as effective as chemo and a fourth has shown it’s even better, for estrogen positive cancers.

What is the earliest age you can develop breast cancer?

I had a guest speaker in class today, and I am really worried. I know that you are most likely to develop it if someone in you family has had it, but I am still nervous. Can someone help?
I would like to thank all of you for your contributions. I feel a lot better now that I have some other opinions and facts. I am going to leave this question open for a while longer in case someone else wants to share their experience. Thanks again!!!
