How do I support my friend who was recently diagnosed with breats cancer.?
My lifelong friend and I only see each other about three times a year and only speak a few more times than that each year for the last 10 years or so. (Pardon the grammar). Recently, she told me she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Stage 1. Has had the surgery and radiation. Awaiting doctors decision on Chemo or not. She has two elementary school children. Lives 30 min to 1 hour away. What can I do to be on her side without smothering her?
Call her or e-mail her and tell her you are there for her. Maybe go do something every other week like lunch, movie a nice walk in a scenic place to keep her mind off of it or a chance to talk about it
