The team Lynda’s Ladies was created to honor Jen’s mother (Lynda) who is an 18 year breast cancer survivor. Lynda was given a 20% chance to live for 5 years, but due to a clinical trial – she is still with us today. In 2008 Jen Hammel and Laura Hoffman walked the Boston 3-Day and in 2009, Jen continued the journey to DC. This year, 2010, Jen is heading to San Diego and has set her highest goal yet… $7000! Boston 3-Day Walk 2008
The team Lynda’s Ladies was created to honor Jen’s mother (Lynda) who is a 17 year breast cancer survivor. Lynda was given a 20% chance to live for 5 years, but due to a clinical trial – she is still with us today. Lynda’s Ladies (Jen Hammel and Laura Hoffman) participated in their first 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, benefitting the Susan G. Komen Fund and the National Philanthropic Breast Cancer Fund. The walk was 60 miles over the course of three days (Aug 15-17th) in Boston, MA and surrounding areas. 3Day walk for breast cancer…. Age LIMIT?
Ok I’m 13 almost 14 and if you have read my questions about weight than you should know I’ve lost 22 lbs……….. Ok my nana is a survivor of breast cancer for 7 years…… With all my weight lost I thought I should do something good cause I feel great…… Well I decided I wanted to do the cancer walk and raise money to help find a cure… I tried to sign up for it and was denied because of my age!!!!! I am upset because they are putting an age limit on doing something good…… Its ridiculous I mean I CHOSE to do it…….. If you agree with me tell me what I should do…… I f you DISAGREE with me then please explain this……..

My mom would be there with me and gave me permission so I wouldn’t be alone……
