On a new season of ‘The Apprentice,’ many of its players have already heard ‘You’re fired!’
NEW YORK, N.Y. – The new season of “The Apprentice” returns the long-running business competition to its non-celebrity roots. But there’s a difference. The 16 candidates who scramble for Donald Trump’s winner-take-all favour display somewhat less swagger than their counterparts from past seasons.

Biopsy tomorrow, already a stage 4 cancer survivor…?

My mom gets a biopsy on her left breast tomorrow after a mamogram and spot compression found some calcified spots last month. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999, metastatic breast cancer in her lungs in 2005 and found it spread to her hip just last year. She had her lympnodes in her right breast removed back in 1999 along with chemo and radiation, chemo in 2005 (couldn’t do radiation again because it was so close to the breast) and chemo/radiation last year for her hip. She’s been so lucky and stayed so strong throughout all of this, and I know it doens’t look good. What are the chances this biopsy will come back that it’s benign?
The cancer removed before was only in the right breast, the spots/biopsy is now in the left.

I’ve been told that I already received the max dose of radiation, doesn’t that mean I can never have it again?

I didn’t know there was a “max dose” until my treatment was complete. I received the max dose of radiation and it was concentrated in my pelvis for cervical cancer and nodes, but it also extended all the way up to my armpits because there were lymph nodes higher too and they were worried it had microscopically spread even higher, they were playing it safe they said by going higher than shown just to make sure nothing was missed. Now I am anxiously awaiting another PET scan in a week which will show if theres any activity, last scan showed a tiny speck on the cervix itself and if its still there I was told surgery is the only option. I asked why I couldn’t have radiation for just that spot and I was told that I can never have radiation again because I received the max dose, any more is toxic apparantly?

Can someone please explain this a little better?

I am worried, because now I am at increased risk for other cancers as well since I already had CC and I had radiation which increases risk. If I found cancer say, breast cancer, could I be treated with radiation for it? I am really worried that the over-compensation in the radiation may have cost me the chance to ever have radiation again if I need it. I am trying to remain calm about it but I think this is something that should have been discussed with me prior to giving me the max dose so I would understand the risks and benefits of getting the max dose and have some input on the decision making process.

What test is used to screen for breast cancer in patients who have already had a mastectomy?

I was just thinking about it and I don’t think it is possible to do a mammogram because there is not enough tissue remaining. I can ask my doctor but right now I am just curious.

What would you do if you were a woman (or a man if you are already a woman)?

If I were a girl would enjoy the fact that I would have a very slim chance of ever being homeless, as men without employment have an 85% chance of being homeless yet women are only 15% of the time. I would also enjoy never having a workplace fatality (women are 7% of them), not being imprisoned or convicted for violent crimes 80% of the time.

I’d also enjoy having support groups for everything under the sun from acne to bad skin to a bad relationship to getting raped and breast cancer compared to men having no support groups for anything.

I’d enjoy always winning a child support case and always getting custody even if I’m a terrible parent, also alimony? What’s that, I’m a girl. I’d also enjoy getting approved for adoption while single 3/4 of the time while men are less than 1/20 times.

I’d enjoy not having to sign up for the Selective Service and if I lived in a nation with forced conscription…

I’d enjoy not getting ostracized by society for wearing male clothing, or enjoying male hobbies, in fact I would enjoy being praised for it, while males who do the same are seen as gay and/or worthless.

I’d enjoy having 100% control over the abortion of any child I create, never being able to be convicted of rape, and the ability to beat my husband or boyfriend senseless with a tire iron, call the cops, and watch him get arrested.

But that’s just me.
Mi$$Ryan – Women can’t get prostate cancer, men can.

And men are still capable of getting breast cancer.

So the number of body parts you can get cancer in are about equal.

Breast Cancer Survior- how to help others after I already helped myself?

OK I am a survivor and I want to know, Is there any way to reach out to other survivors. I remember how hard it was for me being so young and having it, and the fact there was really no one out there that could give any solid support. People act like it is something shameful… Any Ideas?
I tried to start a support group but I am only 23 and so people that are older and that go though the same things don’t relate, was not very successful

What does it mean when breast cancer (level 1 tumor) has already gone into the bones?

I have a dear family member who went to the doctor because of a fall – turned out she fractured her pelvis – but in the course of investigating it, the doctor discovered lesions in the bones pretty much all over her body. Turns out she has a level 1 tumor in her breast and that the lesions in her bones are also breast cancer. For some reason, the doctors are NOT giving her a death sentence, but I have always heard that when a cancer spreads to the bones or another organ, then there is pretty much no hope. So, is there actually hope now?
