Although I survived breast cancer I still have very low self esteem and feel deeply depressed?
I had breast cancer and although I survived the disease I still feel very unhappy, depressed and very alone( I feel alone because I don’t have a significant other). Before I developed cancer I had very low self esteem. My self esteem has been low mainly my entire life. My self esteem is low because of my apperance. People always put me down and call me ugly and mentally challanged because I do have a learning disability. Not only that, I feel worried about a cancer recurrence also. Anyone else that was probably in my situation would probably not worry about those things and probably would be happy and just appreciate the fact that they still have life. I am trying to force myself to become happy but it is extremely difficult for me? Can anyone here offer me some advice? I would really appreciate it alot?

Is it possible that, although the breast cancer doctor dismissed me, I still have breast cancer?
I thought I had Paget’s disease of the nipple. I was given antibiotics because the doc’s thought it was just an infection but nothing cured me. My nipple was(and still is) painful and red, not to mention I have bumps on my areola.
I went to a breast doctor. She gave me a sonogram and said she found what she thinks is just a cyst and said it was nothing because I’m too young (20) and so wouldn’t give me a mammogram. I’m tired of “you’re too young to have this…” crap because then what DO I have? Why is my nipple red and painful? She just sent me home and claimed there was nothing wrong with me. (Well the skin doctor I went to said my breast definitely doesn’t look normal). The doctors have tried everything on me– Bactroban for MRSA, fungus cream, two sets of antibiotics, regular eczema cream… nothing works.
And now, my armpit/underarm is really sore!!! Aren’t my breast lymph nodes there?! I’ve had this odd breast problem since March, but my underarm just started hurting about a week ago. It’s not shaving either, because my other underarm doesn’t hurt and this has never happened before.
Please help.
