Chris wins Mt. Vernon Winery competition (Mt. Vernon Winery – Auburn, CA)

Chris Anderson entered the Mt. Vernon winery competition to submit a traditional Christmas holiday wine quote. Chris submitted: #1. Spread the cheer, with a bottle from here! #2. Merry Merlot, and a happy Zinfandel. #3. Wishing you the happiest bottle of the season! #4. Breast Wishes with a BCR blend! (Mt. Vernon makes a breast cancer research BCR line of wines where a portion of the price paid for each bottle goes to breast cancer research) #5. Warm greetings and happy sniffs, sips, and endless pours! #6. It is that time of the year again, when you are thankful for everything fruit forward and delicious. May this Christmas be a delight! Wishing you a Merry Christmas! #7. Seasons greetings, from our barrel to your belly. They liked all of his submissions and Chris won the prize. He selected a new bottle of Cab Franc – not yet released by the winery. Apparently, this new 2006 vintage is supposed o be a wine for the ages. A wine that Ryan Taylor promises to be “one of of best ever”.
