How can I help promote breast cancer event?

I’m looking for ways to help promote a local breast cancer event. I’m thinking online event calendars would help — can anyone point me in the right direction?

The event will be on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00pm at Radiology Regional Center, 10201 Arcos Ave, Ste 10, Estero, FL 33928.

It’s called “Ladies Night” and it’s an event to raise money to benefit a local breast cancer society. It’s also an opportunity to get a mammogram and blood pressure screening. There will be all kinds of booths set up and sample products available.

It’s listed here:

…but I’d like to advertise it other places, too. The company is promoting it, but every little bit helps, right?

Any suggestions??

Self-help — tumors promote their own metastasis

Self-help — tumors promote their own metastasis
( American Journal of Pathology ) Current research suggests that tumor-secreted exosomes inhibit the immune response, enhancing tumor metastasis. The related report by Liu et al, “Contribution of MyD88 to the tumor exosome-mediated induction of myeloid derived suppressor cells,” appears in the May 2010 issue of the American Journal of Pathology.

Will our dear and selfless feminists help promote Men’s Health?

This is a source I got from a feminist who said Men’s health was doing good.

http://www.boston.com/yourlife/health/other/articles/2006/11/14/health_disparities_persist_for_men_and_doctors_ask_why/?page=2

‘’But the mere suggestion that men need their own health bureau or that they must advocate for their rights like a victimized minority rankles some womens health advocates, and some politicians are reluctant to take mens health on as a cause, for fear of alienating women. ‘’
So some women don’t like the fact that men could have their own bureau? Seems VERY selfish!

‘’ But experts and advocates say that when it comes to government financing for the most common sex-specific reproductive cancers, breast cancer financing exceeds prostate cancer financing by more than 40 percent, with prostate cancer research receiving $394 million in 2005, and breast cancer receiving $710 million. The figures, for financing by the National Cancer Institute and Defense Department, were provided by the not-for-profit Prostate Cancer’’
So the experts say what I’ve been sayin’ all along! So is this the work of the EVIL PATRIARCHY?

”But while the American Heart Association has been conducting an aggressive public education campaign to raise awareness about heart disease among women, called Go Red for Women and featuring pins in the shape of dresses, progress among men has been slipping, said Dr. Steven Nissen, the chairman of the department of cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and president of the American College of Cardiology. Yet, he added, the illness exacts a disproportionate toll on men.”

”Cynthia Pearson, executive director of the National Womens Health Network in Washington, acknowledges the fact that men don’t have an Office but says men don’t need help.”
Rio is your troll giving you headaches? Because the responses you’ve been giving lately are just…”idiotic”…read paragraph #2 please. Then you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

Tmarie666 ”Until very recently, ALL medical research was about men’s health. Men don’t need anyone to take up their cause.”
Fine. I’m not donating one cent to Breast Cancer anymore. Did you read anything of what my source said? No of course not.

And Rio are you saying you don’t care about Men’s Health? Thanks! Very ”humanist” of you.
Yea but see we’re not ENCOURAGED to see a doctor Carrie. I remember when I was living at home and couldn’t drive, my parents would hardly ever let me see a doctor even though it was free.
You know what really piss me off nightstar? That you assume that because one bashes feminism s/he bashes all women. There are plenty of non-feminists that are women.
The only reason I’m altering your name deathstar (don’t tell me that’s not an awesome cool name?) is because some users will report you for using their actual names. I’m sorry if you don’t like ”nightstar” or ”deathstar” but I find them to be pretty cool names.
