Oprah Winfrey’s Talk Show Audition for BC Prevention
To vote go to myown.oprah.com I am a breast cancer Survivor, I am proposing a health and wellbeing show to promote education and awareness in breast cancer prevention, quality care and medical information, resources available for breast cancer patients and their family members. I have a list of guest for the show to reveal the complexity of breast cancer experience. Experts such as: (1) Epidemiologist; (2) Cancer Surgeon; (3) Oncologist; (4) Plastic Surgeon; (5) Cancer researcher; (6) advocacy organizations; (7) breast cancer survivor from different racial and socio-economic background to see the varieties of experiences and access to care; (8) family members; (9) artists who use artistic expression to meditate about illness, gender crisis and the way we think about breast. This show will empower women with education, prevention, social justice and human rights when we rethink how we get access to quality care and prevention.

In June of 2006 I, at age 40, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. What followed was a series of surgeries, and finally Chemo. In August of 2006, I had my last treatment. The wait began, when would I grow hair? I surfed the web, and could not find much on the subject. So, now it is my wish to show just how much hair you grow after chemo.
