Ok I just had a biospy maybe a week ago where I learned that I had breast cancer Stage 1. I informed my boss.?

Maybe a day or two later we had the opportunity to renew insurance (which I do not have my husband has it, I only have life insurance through my job ). I asked my employer about getting short term disability she said because of my breast cancer diagnosis I could not get it. Is that legal? I have worked over two years for the company,.
I think my question was unclear. We had open enrollment (for all eimployees)for short term disability and she said I was ineligible for the coverage based on breast cancer diagnosis..

In week 3 out of 6 of radiation for breast cancer, can it cause my eyebrows & eye lashes to thin, fall out?

If so, no one told me this was a side affect. My hair is growing back from chemo so why isn’t that affected or will it be also?

I’m in my 2nd week of radiation for breast cancer so it’s only affecting the area where the tumor was?

My breast has been swollen off & on for about a week. I have seen the DR. & she doesn’t seem concerned with this. I haven’t yet experienced redness but wondering if anyone has had this as a side affect? Any solutions? I guess I can’t ice it because they don’t want extreme heat or cold due to that can cause problems too. They just said take ibuprofen?

Please, please help?! My fiance lost his mother a week ago, and I don’t know what to do. I’m so lost…?!?

Ok, well, I’m 22, and fiance, Jakob, who’s 23, just lost his mom on Wednesday night. He was really close with his mom… His dad died when he was only 2, so he was raised by only his mother. He’s a bit more on the feminine side because of this, but he’s also able to express his emotions, and understand mine, better than any other guy I’ve met, which I love. Anyways, his mother was such a sweet woman. She had been fighting breast cancer for a long time, and unfortunately lost the fight on Wednesday evening, although we all thought she would beat it. I’m worried about Jakob, though. He’s hardly talked since Wednesday night, and I’ve hardly seen him cry. Usually he actually LIKES talking to me when he’s upset, and he doesn’t mind me seeing him cry. After we got the call Wednesday, I asked him how he was feeling, and he told me he was “…okay,” then went into our room and I heard him crying, but figured he wanted to be alone. Last night at dinner, I gently tried to get him to open up a bit, which I hardly ever even have to do. He shared his emotions a bit, and there were a few tears, but I can tell there’s so much more pain in him right now that he hasn’t expressed to me. I don’t know what to do! I want him to open up so I can comfort him, but I don’t want to pester him. So my first question is, what else can I do?! I’m so lost as to what to do… I just have to do something. I love him more than anything else on this planet… I feel so helpless seeing him like this and not knowing what to do. I don’t want him to feel alone… He doesn’t even have any other relatives, or siblings, either… I’m the only one he has in his life, now.

Next… today, when we both got home from work, the radio was on, and I heard Ave Maria, and I know he always said his mother absolutely loved that song… I was in the kitchen, and he was in the living room with the radio, and I heard it playing, and I came into the living room with his lunch about a minute after the song had come on, and he was sitting on the couch with his head in his hands, crying. I went and sat next to him, and put my arms around him, and kissed his cheek… he put his arms around me, and cried on my shoulder for 4 or 5 minutes until he lifted his head and looked at me… I was crying too, which I didn’t even realize until he reached his hand up and dried my eyes with his sleeve. I hugged him closer, because he was still crying (practically sobbing… you know, the kind of crying where you can hardly breathe), and I told him, “I’m so sorry,” but he looked straight at me, and told me, “I wouldn’t be here without you. You’re the only person I love that I have left.” I completely broke down after that, and we both sat there crying for a while. He talked to me a little after that, which I’m glad about, but the fact that he said “he wouldn’t be here without me” sort of… frightens me. I’ve never felt more loved by anyone but him, especially after that, but it sort of scares me that if I weren’t in his life, he might have killed himself. He did tell me after, though, not to ever worry about that happening, because he’d never leave me alone (or ever want to), no matter how bad things felt for him. He told me that in the past week, I’m the only thing he gets out of bed every morning for… I’m what keeps him going. It still scares me though that I make such an impact on his life that he might have killed himself if I weren’t with him. I don’t understand why this scares me so much… Please help me understand this if you can… Please…
